Lanchester SketchClub goes online! March’s theme: The Need for Speed

25th March 2020

Feeling creative? Today we launch our online SketchClub so we can all be creative remotely, but share your artwork online on Twitter using the #CovSketchbook or tag us @lanchester_ia or via our Facebook page.

The idea is simple, it’s monthly space and time to be creative and sketch anything related to a different Lanchester inspired theme. While the LIA space is closed we will be doing this online and sharing the artwork via social media. On the last Wednesday of every month the new theme will be revealed and this month its is :- The Need for Speed!

Although Lanchester was not primarily interested in the speed of his motor cars as his aim was to solve the problems of automotive design, his cars did break many records.

Take a look at the short video and pictures below and delve into the archives for some inspiration. Click on the images to see them in the online archive and you’ll find even more in there too.

Then draw, sketch, paint whatever you like and share it with us. Good luck and we look forward to seeing some amazing artwork!
