Volunteering Scheme 2019

29th January 2019

We are very excited to announce the forthcoming launch of our 2019 Volunteering scheme, which will allow students and members of the local community to become a vital part of the Lanchester story. Are you interested in history, heritage, STEM, archiving, outreach? Want to connect with like-minded people? This could be the place for you!

What are the next steps?

We are organising an info session here at the Archive, scheduled for Thursday 28 February. Find out more here. If you can’t make the session, you can fill in an expression of interest form here and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone! We’d be happy for you to get in touch and discuss how you can collaborate with the Archive even if you don’t have a lot of experience or spare time.

What will my role as a volunteer be like?

You might help us with outreach visits to community groups, research our archive, give tours of the exhibition space to visitors, contribute to organising and advertising events, just to name a few… we’re keen to build the programme around your interests though, so we’d be more than happy to hear your ideas!

How do I become a volunteer?

Follow this link to fill in an expression of interest form and we’ll keep you updated on future developments. If you have any questions about the scheme, please contact us at volunteer@lanchesterinteractive.org.
